What is India’s biggest win margin by runs in Tests?


India has the chance to seal a big win on the fifth day of the second Test against Birmingham.

The Shubman Gill-led side had set England a target of 608 runs and needed seven wickets to win on Sunday. England resumed the final day on 72 for three.

If India can dismiss England for less than 172 runs, it will register its biggest win margin (in terms of runs). Its best win margin stands at 434 runs, which came against the same opposition in Rajkot in 2024.

In Tests away from home, India’s highest win margin is 318 runs, which came against West Indies in North Sound in 2019.
