A social media user shared a video where customers can scan their palms to make payments at a grocery store in China.

A recent example of this cutting-edge approach was shared by a social media user, showcasing a grocery store in China where customers can conveniently make payments by “scanning their palms”.
The video filmed in Zhuzhou featured the social media user visiting a local grocery store with his friends. His friend revealed that since his palm is registered at the store, he can make payments without having to use his mobile phone and internet. He also confirmed that this way, he can make payments through the country without any gadgets. Sharing the video, the social media user wrote, “China Is Living In 2050.”
The video clip also featured one of the men successfully making a purchase using the palm payment system. He mentioned that customers have a variety of payment options available, including cash, QR codes and the palm scanning method. The user emphasised the convenience, speed and ease of the entire process.
The video has caught the attention of social media users who are taking to Instagram to express their disbelief and admiration over the advance payment method. Since being posted, it has received over 9.8 million views.

She expressed, “Living in China, I’m accustomed to cashless payments through QR codes and facial recognition technology, and now I can even pay with my bare hands.” This showcases the remarkable advancements in payment systems in China.
