A video of a man being blown away by the strong, gusty winds and consistent rain has gone viral and sparked concern among social media users. It shows that when nature unleashes its wrath, you are rendered absolutely helpless.
The video, posted to Instagram, shows a man standing in the middle of a road in heavy rainfall. According to Khaleej Times, the footage was from the Katnah Al Fayyad road in Oman. The person, Fahad Mohamad Abdul Rehman, was seen braving the storm. He was crouched on the road, unable to even get up on his feet. After what seemed to be a courageous attempt, he stood up and walked feebly.
As soon as he tried to reach his car, his umbrella twisted and ultimately got inverted by the unstoppable winds.
Fahad Mohamad Abdul Rehman, however, turned out to be a braveheart. He laughed in the face of imminent danger and playfully shouted, “Mashallah (Dear God)” challenging the storm to “hit him harder.”
The side note read, “Fahd Mohammed: Right now there is heavy rain on the Katnah–Al–Fayadh road in Oman. Filmed by the youth of Storm Centre.”
The internet was quick to react to the video.
“May God make this rain a blessing, mercy, and happiness for you all, by the Lord of the worlds,” wrote one user.
“May God keep you safe, and may high spirits live on,’ commented another.
“Honestly, Fahd, they should make you an action money actor in Hollywood. Mashallah film,” read a fun remark.
This was not the first time the region was hit by such dangerous storms. Two years ago, the city of Fujairah was hit by catastrophic floods. This year in June, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah were drenched in heavy rain.
