A touching reunion between two long-lost friends has taken the internet by storm. A fire officer in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, unexpectedly crossed paths with his college classmate after 37 years at the Mahakumbh Mela. Their heartfelt moment was captured in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), leaving viewers delighted by their joyous interaction.
Sanjeev Kumar Singh, a fire officer, and Rashmi Gupta, a teacher from Lucknow’s KKB Degree College, were classmates in 1988. They unexpectedly ran into each other at the grand religious gathering and decided to record their reunion.
In the video, Sanjeev introduced Rashmi, saying, “This is Rashmi Gupta. We were classmates in college in 1988. And after 37 years, we have met in this Mahakumbh Mela. She is now a teacher at KKB Degree College in Lucknow. So, now I will ask her, how is she feeling after coming here?”
Rashmi, equally excited, spoke about how much she was enjoying the arrangements at the Mahakumbh and expressed her happiness at reuniting with her old friend.
“I am loving my time here. Such a nice arrangement. Sanjeev helped us,” Rashmi said. She fondly remembered Sanjeev as a quiet and reserved person during their college days.
“But his personality is different now, and I am so happy to meet him,” she added.
Sanjeev then playfully said, “Rashmi and her gang hardly used to speak to me during our college days. But I accept your jhoothi tareef now.”
Rashmi laughed at his comment and replied, “Maturity comes with age.”
The caption shared along with the video reads, “Pehle log kumbh me kho jate the. Fire Officer Sanjeev Kumar Singh 1988 Ke Baad Mahakumbh Me Apni Classmate Se Mile. Such a Cute Conversation! “
