More than just selling mangoes, watermelons, and bananas, some build meaningful connections extending well beyond commerce, especially with the city’s furry residents. A heartwarming Instagram video featuring a golden retriever and a local fruit vendor sharing a special bond has captured the attention and affection of viewers on social media.
In the video, a golden retriever patiently waits on an elevated spot, as if expecting a small “fruit tax” for her irresistible charm. When the vendor approaches, she wags her tail with excitement.
Unbothered by the attention, the vendor warmly chats with both the dog and her owner, sharing, “Yesterday, she slept with the banana in her mouth!” With practised ease, he peels a banana, breaks it into three small pieces, and gently feeds the eager retriever.
Once the treat is finished, the dog calmly returns to her spot inside the house, almost as if she’s clocking out after a morning shift, content and happy. “Our daily morning routine,” reads the caption.

More often than not, these playful negotiations ended with Raja successfully getting a treat, charming both locals and online audiences alike with his clever and endearing routine.
