
Public undertakings under the Ministry of Water Power, Government of India, Vaikus Ltd. (WAPCOS) has not only shown strength on the domestic front by performing well in the financial year 2024–25, but has also waved India’s engineering capacity in Global South.
The company earned tremendous profit
According to the company’s unodied data, a turnover of Rs 1,680 crore (9.8 percent increase) and a profit beuft tax of Rs 95 crore have been recorded (20.44 percent increase). WAPCOS has achieved new projects worth Rs 3,354 crore this year, which is 13.46 percent more than the previous year. With this, by 31 March 2025, the total order book of the company has now reached 13,750 crores.
Globally strengthening attendance
WAPCOS is not only working in the field of water, energy and infrastructure in India, but also successfully handling engineering projects in countries in South Asia and Africa. This year the company has achieved great success in CIS countries (such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) and has strengthened India’s credibility.
The Chairman and Managing Director of the company R.K. Aggarwal said, “WAPCOS is a symbol of India’s public sector superiority. The faster our global presence is growing as fast as we are giving the same significant contribution to the development story of India.”
The WAPCOS provides the status of Mini Ratna-I, provides consultation, engineering and project management services in water, energy and infrastructure areas. The company has set its steps in more than 75 countries and is working to take Indian expertise on a global stage.
