According to the video, a fight broke out at the temple between a few female devotees and a female security guard.

A video has surfaced online that shows a heated confrontation between women devotees and security personnel at the well-known Radha Rani Temple in Barsana, Mathura. An onlooker captured the incident on camera and the video is making the rounds on social media.

As shown in the video, a fight broke out at the temple entrance between a few women devotees and a female security guard. After some time, the male guards stepped in and heckled the female devotees. The incident reportedly happened on Saturday, April 12, while the devotees were entering the shrine.

The video captures the female security guard at the temple’s entrance being beaten by the female devotees. The male guards on the scene stepped in and attempted to separate the devotees and the female guard as the situation worsened.

The male guards attempted to stop the female devotees from assaulting the female guard, but they persisted. After which, an angry security guard shoved a woman to the ground. The guards struggled for a long time before the female devotees stopped the conflict and began to enter the temple.

“Mathura-Barsana’s world-famous Radharani temple. Security personnel at the temple attacked devotees who came for darshan from Punjab! Don’t know why incidents of violence against devotees in temples have been increasing lately..?” a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared the video and captioned it.

Shared on April 15, the video has racked up over 11,000 views so far. As the video gained traction, social media users were quick to react.

A user said, “Worship at home. There is usually some danger for believers in temples.”

Another commented, “These devotees travel a long distance to receive blessings and prasad because the temple near their home does not provide them. All of these temples have become commercial centres.”

“Prasad’s form has changed,” an individual jokingly wrote on X.

“Security staff should be investigated; they could be victims of a poor mentality,” another user remarked.

Raj Kamal Yadav, the in-charge of the nearest police station, reportedly stated that no devotee had filed a complaint with them. The police promised that the viral video would be investigated and that appropriate action would be taken.

Additionally, it has been reported that the argument started when the female security guard requested that the female devotees enter the shrine through a different gate. But after they allegedly misbehaved with the officer, the situation got out of hand and the other guards had to step in to keep things under control.
