VIDEO | Sudharsan rues dropped catches as GT suffers IPL 2025 Eliminator exit after loss against MI

Opener Sai Sudharsan pinpointed dropped catches as a turning point in the post-match press conference after Gujarat Titans’ 20-run defeat to Mumbai Indians in the IPL Eliminator on Friday.

Despite his valiant 80 off 49, the Titans fell short at 208/6 chasing Mumbai’s 228/5.

Sudharsan said: “It definitely cost a bit for us; if we had taken those, the game could have been a bit different, and the situation would have been different if we had got those ones.”

He highlighted the missed opportunities, particularly two drops of Rohit Sharma and one of Suryakumar Yadav, noting, “The new batter would have been there, and the ball was swinging a bit more in the power-play overs.”

Sudharsan added, “Maybe it could have changed certain things, but yes, we take it as it is,” acknowledging the team’s acceptance of the outcome.
