Many people today construct their homes, offices, or factories according to Vastu, believing that proper attention to all directions paves the way for progress. However, despite adhering to Vastu principles, some still encounter problems.
According to Bhopal-based astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma, small overlooked details often cause these issues. A common mistake is placing plants in the wrong directions. Many believe that tall plants in the south or west strengthen the house’s walls or enhance the surroundings of offices or factories. However, this can sometimes lead to several problems.
The Impact of Plant Placement
Each direction has specific qualities: north and east are considered light and open, while south and west are heavy. Plants represent the air element, which is light. When a light element is placed in a heavy direction, it disrupts the energy balance, negatively impacting progress, income, and mental peace.
The south-west direction symbolises stability and control, and plants here can cause instability, such as business losses, mounting debts, or repeated setbacks. The west direction relates to profit and wealth, and having plants there may halt profits or increase expenses.
Plant Placement According To Vastu
Vastu Shastra recommends planting in the north and east directions, where the light, positive energy harmonises with plants. This promotes mental peace, good health, and success. If you have plants in the south or west and are facing problems, you should remove them immediately. If removal is not possible, simple remedies include burying a copper plate near the plants or exposing them to sunlight daily.
