Vacancy of sports trainer in Bihar, know who can apply?



Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has introduced a big employment opportunity for the youth of the state. After CGL-4 and office attendant recruitment, the Commission has now issued a notification for the recruitment of 379 posts of sports trainer i.e. sports trainer. Women candidates have also been given special opportunity in this recruitment.

The application process for these posts will start from 9 October 2025 and will run till 11 November 2025. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online by visiting the official website of BSSC bssc.bihar.gov.in.

Of the total 379 posts, 128 posts have been reserved for women only. While the remaining posts are divided according to different classes, including unreserved, SC, ST, MBC, BC, women and EBCs from backward classes. In this way, this recruitment gives opportunities to all classes and is an attempt to bring talented youth forward in sports.

Who can apply

It is necessary for the applied candidates to have a graduation from any subject. Along with this, they should also have technical qualifications related to sports. Technical qualifications include Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhash National Sports Institute, Postgraduate Diploma in Sports in Sports in Sports in Laxmibai National Physical Education Institute or Central Sports University, or equivalent degree from a recognized sports university.

Sports achievements have also been given an important place in this recruitment. The candidate has represented India in an international competition, or represented the state in a national or international championship. Apart from this, participation in recognized competitions like Olympic, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Championships or Asian Championships will also be considered qualifications. Also, continuous participation will be given importance in All India Inter University, National Championship, Junior Championship or interpores like Police and Railways.

Age limit

Talking about the age limit, the age of general category candidates should be between 21 and 37 years. The maximum age for male and female candidates of BC and EBC category has been kept at 40 years. The maximum age limit for unreserved women has also been fixed at 40 years, while this limit has been kept 42 years for SC and ST class men and women.

This will be selected

The selection process will be based on written examination and interview. First the candidates will be written and then successful candidates will be called for interview. After this, a Medhasuchi will be prepared on the basis of their merit, experience and sports achievements. On the basis of this list, a final appointment will be given.
