A rare event of child abuse has come to light from the US city of Milwaukee. A 20-year-old father reportedly threw his infant son against a wall after getting frustrated over losing a video game. Jane White admitted to the crime when he was detained on charges of child abuse. The mother of the 8-year-old lodged a complaint against her husband on November 5. She was not present when the horrific incident took place at their apartment. The baby was later rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and is unlikely to survive, the report added.
If his son dies, the father will face more severe consequences as the charges against him will then be upgraded to homicide amounting to death. As per the information shared by prosecutors, the infant suffered a traumatic brain injury after its head hit the wall, as reported by Fox19.
“The defendant has confessed to this incident. The defendant is also the only person with the ability and the opportunity to inflict this harm on the victim. This is likely going to become a homicide. This is a severe level of violence for an innocent infant child, who had multiple injuries,” Milwaukee Assistant District Attorney Madeline Witte said.

This revelation led the police to assume that it might not be the first time that the infant was physically abused by his father. “This appears not to be the first abuse of conduct with this child based on the fact that there are multiple stages of healing of broken ribs,” the court commissioner said.
As of now, White has been held on a $100,000 cash bail. If convicted, he will stay in prison for 62 years and the tenure will only increase if his son doesn’t survive.
