UPSC’s ‘Pratibha Setu’ starts, now candidates who are out of merit list will also get a golden opportunity


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Has taken a new and commendable initiative for millions of promising youth of the country. The name of this scheme is ‘Pratibha Setu’, who opens a new path for those candidates who could not come in the final merit list despite crossing all the stages of the difficult examinations of UPSC.

What is ‘Pratibha Setu’ scheme?

The scheme was earlier known as Public Disclosure Scheme (PDS). Now it has been given a new name and new identity – ‘Pratibha Setu’. The purpose of this is to give information about such qualified candidates to the government and private companies who passed everything till the interview, but could not come in the final selection.

Out of merit, but not less in talent

UPSC says that this scheme is a ‘second entrance gate’ for those candidates, who missed the final selection despite a spectacular performance in the examination. The commission made it clear that such youth are as talented as the selected candidate, just luck did not give a little together.

Now this scheme also allows private companies to login on the UPSC portal and access the data of these promising youth and give them opportunities in their companies.

Data banks of more than 10 thousand candidates ready

Under this scheme, a profile of more than 10,000 candidates has been prepared so far. This data bank also includes the educational qualifications, experience and contact details of the youth. This information will help companies find better talent.

How to register companies?

Government and private institutions can get the user ID and password by visiting the official website of UPSC, so that they will get access to this database. Government organizations already with login ID are already using it, now private companies will also get its benefit.
