Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Civil Services Examination 2025 (CSE) on 22 January 2025. This examination is an important opportunity for the candidates who want to make a career in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Forest Service (IFS) and other prestigious services. After the release of the notification, candidates can now register online by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
This year, UPSC has released the notification for CSE 2025 earlier, which is relatively earlier than previous years. This year, on January 22, along with Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025, notification for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Preliminary Examination 2025 has also been issued. Both the exams are conducted by UPSC, and candidates can apply for both. Candidates are advised to submit their registration form online within the prescribed time limit. As per the annual calendar, the last date for submission of online application form is 11 February 2025.
Previous year vacancy information
Last year, UPSC had released the notification of a total of 1,056 vacancies for CSE and 150 vacancies for Indian Forest Service (IFoS). The number of vacancies for this year’s exam has not been announced yet, but candidates are expecting that the number will be huge this year too. The interview session of last year’s exam is going on now and will end in April. UPSC CSE 2025 preliminary exam will be held on May 25, and the main exam dates will be announced thereafter.
UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2025: Application Process
1. First of all, go to the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
2. Click on “UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2025 Registration Link” on the home page.
3. A new page will open, in which candidates will have to complete their registration process.
4. After successful registration, candidates can fill the application form.
5. Upload the required documents in the application form, pay the fee and submit the form.
6. Take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
Last date and important information
This year, candidates have to complete their registration by 11th February 2025. UPSC has already announced the exam dates, and now the candidates have got time to start their preparation. this time UPSC CSE notification has been released early, so that candidates can get more time and prepare well for their examination.
