The hotel business is highly competitive due to direct rivals in a similar area and the need to attract guests with competitive pricing, unique offerings and strong marketing. In today’s time, to succeed in this area, one of the key factors is to keep up with the market and offer a unique experience to the guests, as compared to others.
In order to achieve this uniqueness, two scrap-dealers from Ujjain, named Virendra Kushwaha and Pushpendra Kushwaha, have purchased a BSF Cargo plane. Yes! You read that right.
Ujjain Brothers Purchase Cargo Planes
Even before the gates of Ujjain’s first airport open, the BSF Cargo plane will be reaching the religious city of Madhya Pradesh. Not for travel purposes, but the plane will be used as a luxury hotel for the city residents, as well as tourists and devotees coming from outside.
What’s The Cost Of The Plane?
The plane, purchased via BSF’s tender process for about Rs 40 Lakh, is likely to be converted into a luxury hotel by next year, offering a new experience to devotees, especially those visiting Baba Mahakal, as well as those coming for Simhastha 2028.
For the Kushwahas, this is not their first experience with flight. They had previously purchased a helicopter, but this time they are taking their enthusiasm for innovation to a higher level. The brothers spent an additional Rs 5.5 lakh to transfer the aircraft from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh, where it will be permanently stationed at their property and turned into a hotel with five-star amenities.
What’s the Inspiration Behind This?
Talking to ANI, Pushpendra Kushwaha said that he took inspiration from a restaurant in Haryana to convert this hotel to a five-star restaurant.
Notably, there are several aeroplane-themed restaurants in Haryana, including Runway 1 in Ambala, Flight of Dreams in Gurugram, and the Aeroplane Restaurant Terminal C in Murthal, Sonepat.
“We also drew inspiration from Operation Sindoor and aim to convey a positive message to the spectators and visitors. We want to increase the respect for the army and hence we will take this forward in the same theme,” added Khushwaha.
What Amenities Will Be Provided To The Guests?
Talking about what amenities will be provided to the guests, Virendra Khushwaha shared that he will consult with an interior designer to design the plane into a luxurious 5-star hotel.
He told PTI, “In this, no matter how many rooms the interior decorator creates, 3, 4, 5, that many rooms will be created.”
Plane Dimensions
The plane, which can seat 55 people, measures 15 feet high, 70 feet long, and 100 feet broad, and weighs 20 tonnes. Virendra Kushwaha stated that he had previously purchased military equipment for scrap, but this is the first time he has imported such a massive plane.
