UAE captain Muhammad Waseem breaks Rohit Sharma’s sixes record


UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem broke Rohit Sharma’s record for the most sixes as captain during UAE’s Tri-Series match against Afghanistan in Sharjah on Monday.

The captain lofted Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman for two sixes in the third over of the UAE innings to set the record. The team is chasing down Afghanistan’s total of 188 for four.

Rohit, who scored 105 sixes in 35 matches, is now second on the list, above Eoin Morgan, who struck 86 sixes in 34 matches.
