Donald Trump had promised during the election
Donald Trump had promised a tough crackdown on illegal immigration during the election campaign and at the beginning of his second term he issued several orders to change the rules of entry into the United States. On his first day taking office, Trump signed orders declaring a national emergency on the southern border and announced the deployment of more troops to the area.
