US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday (January 21, 2025) that he is ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin any time, but at the same time he warned that if Russia does not come forward for talks on the issue of Ukraine So sanctions can be imposed on Russia.
When asked whether the US would impose more sanctions on Russia if Putin does not come forward for talks, Donald Trump said, ‘It seems so.’ Donald Trump said, ‘The conflict should never have started. I guess you didn’t have a president… If you had, there wouldn’t have been a war. If I were president, there would never have been a war in Ukraine.
The US President said, ‘Russia never goes into Ukraine. Putin and I had a very good and strong understanding. This never happens. He disrespected Joe Biden. He also disrespected people. He is smart. He understands. He said, ‘Besides, all this would never have happened in West Asia because Iran was very weak.’
In response to a question, Donald Trump said that he is ready to meet Putin any time. He said, ‘Whenever he wants, I will meet him. Lakhs of people are losing their lives, mostly soldiers… It is a terrible situation. Many people have been killed and cities have been destroyed. When asked whether the US would continue sending arms to Ukraine, or whether it would soon stop, Donald Trump said he was looking into the matter.
