Trump gets a big shock from the US Supreme Court! Ban on citizenship decisions, what will happen now?

US Supreme Court on Citizenship: US President Donald Trump has suffered a setback from the Supreme Court. The court has stayed the proposal to ban citizenship from the birth of Trump. However, the court has agreed to hear the arguments on the issue and it will be heard in May.

The US Supreme Court will not directly decide whether Trump’s decision is according to the constitution or not. At present, the court will pay attention to another technical matter, which can have a lot of impact later. The issue is whether judges of lower courts can order to stop the policies of the President across the country.

Court imposed stay

Three federal judges issued prohibitory orders to stop Trump’s order in different decisions, which was asked to end the citizenship of the US-born children. The judges said that this order is a direct violation of the 14th amendment, as this amendment gives the right of citizenship to almost all people born in America for a long time.

Last month, the Trump government filed an Arjency appeal in the Supreme Court. He asked the court to either be removed or reduced these prohibitions. The government said that the judges of the lower courts should not have the right to take such a big decision, so that any policy can be stopped in the whole country.

Hearing will be held on 15 May

The US Supreme Court on Thursday said in its order that it would hear on May 15. This hearing will be held on the issue whether the District Judges have the right to give orders to be implemented in the whole country. It is rare for the court to determine a debate on emergency appeals. This shows that the court is taking the matter of Trump administration seriously. If the Supreme Court agrees with Trump that the judges have given more orders than their rights, then this can allow the government to implement the policy related to its citizenship immediately in some areas.

Trump administration issued this order

Trump issued a new order on the first day of his second term, stating that the US-born children would not be given citizenship whose parents are in the country without legitimate paper or on a temporary visa.

But many legal experts say that this order is against the law. He says that this order collides with the old decisions of the Supreme Court and the 14th amendment of the Constitution. The 14th amendment states that any person who is born in America and is under the law of America will be considered a citizen of America.
