Travelling on Indian Railways without a ticket is illegal but a common issue. Even though there are penalties such as fines or even jail time, passengers are still caught travelling ticketless. Days after a teacher went viral for travelling in a train without an authorised ticket, another video of a woman in the Doon Express is now gaining attention online.
This new clip shows a heated argument between the woman and a train ticket examiner (TTE), sparking renewed debate about accountability on trains.
What’s In The Video?
In the video, the woman and TTE are seen arguing as the man alleges her of abusing him and even attacking him with a hot cup of tea during the altercation. Both raise their voices as the argument continues, with the TTE saying, “Isne gaali di mujhe, apne suna,” panning the camera towards other passengers. The woman was seen shouting, ‘Apne maara mujhe.”
As the video progresses, the TTE was heard saying, “Ye larki hai, isne mujhpar garam chai feki. (This girl has thrown a hot cup of tea on me,)” and the onlookers agreed with him.

How Did Social Media Users React?
As expected, social media users chimed in on the comments section and shared their views on the incident.
“Not following rules is the new normal,” read a comment.
Another wrote, “There are only 2,3 Good TTE among millions. So no sympathy.”
“They should be appropriately punished,” said a user.
Similar Incident Of Ticketless Travel
A few days ago, another clip went viral that showed a teacher from Bihar’s government school travelling without a ticket. When the TTE asked her to move to an unreserved coach or show a pass, the woman accused him of harassing her. After a short argument, she left her seat but was later seen arguing with the TTE at the station, along with her relatives and father.
The Indian Railway Ticket Checking Staff Organisation (IRTCSO) expressed safety concerns after the video of the incident went viral. They questioned how a railway employee was given death threats in front of the RPF and asked for strict action. In response, the RPF tweeted that they have already instructed the station in charge at Deoria to take necessary action.
Later, it was revealed that the woman is from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria and not from Bihar. She was fined Rs 990 for travelling without a ticket.
