CGHS New Guidelines: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has released a new guideline. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has changed the online process of taking permission for CPAP, BIPAP and Oxygen consultator. The purpose of this change is to reduce the paperwork and speed up the approval and to provide more facilities to the beneficiaries.
According to the new instructions of the Ministry of Health, it has been decided to completely change the online mode to take permission of such machines under CGHS. Under the new process, CGHS beneficiaries will now have to submit their applications digitally to the Wellness Center. All the necessary documents should be included in these applications.
Submit your application in this way
According to Annexure-1, the beneficiaries will have to scan their entire application package and email the office of the respective additional director of the city. If high-speed scanners are not available in the wellness center, then documents will be sent through posts within a day or two. Along with this, additional directors have been instructed to purchase high-speed scanners for all wellness centers so that online process can be made convenient.
Digital record of application will also be kept
All applications will be processed through electronic file systems to monitor the digital records and approval of permission. The subject matter of the e-file will include the name and ID of the benefit and all the response to the respective devices will also be known. For better tracking, information like e-file number, benefits ID and permission details will be kept in an Excel sheet.
If your application is approved, then its information will be given to you on email. If you want, you will also be able to collect its soft copy. This is another extended step of the health sector towards digitization.
