The Assembly polls in Maharashtra concluded a while back with the oath-taking ceremony of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. But it seems like the election fever is still on and it is being carried out by a housing society in Nasik. In the latest instance, the election committee of the housing complex has issued a notice informing its residents about their upcoming polls.
The in-house election will be conducted to elect an authoritative committee which will take over the responsibility of the society for the next three years.
In what can be called funny, the notice issued by Vijay Sadan Society drew reference to the contemporary political scenario and urged residents to vote in maximum numbers. It also appealed to the people to keep faith in the voting system and not raise questions like the ‘Opposition’.
“After Maharashtra elections, now it is time for our society elections. We hope that you all will continue to cast your vote. This election is being held to select which committee team will takeover the responsibility of the society for the next 3 years. So, every vote matters! “The Haryana side is requested not to question the voting system like the opposition and to have faith in the voting system,” the notice read.

The election has been scheduled for December 15 and residents can cast their franchise between 10 am and 1 pm at the society office.
No wonder the social media community was amused to witness such a happening. A user said, “Opposition PARTY of India is very promising that now people are also giving their example…” Another added, “Are you still voting through EVM here?” Someone also noted, “Bahi ase English or Hindi ki ase tasi kardi me bhi.”
