This film was once rejected by Arbaaz and Ronit Roy, but Akshay Kumar shone luck

For the lead role in the film, he was allegedly contacted with Ronit Roy, but allegedly, his manager had sought a lot of fees and was removed from the project for this reason. Later, the producers contacted Arbaaz Khan, but he was committed to launch Rama by his brother Sohail with Ram. But this project was closed and later Arbaaz made her Bollywood debut with the crack of Abbas-Mastan. Later, Akshay was finalized for the player and the film proved to be a big hit. Apart from Akshay, Deepak Tijori, Ayesha Julka and Sabiha played important roles in the film.

Player’s box office collection
The player was a commercial successful film appreciated by a 1992 critics, the movie was made in the alleged budget of Rs 2 crore and the film grossed over Rs 7 crore worldwide and became the 10th highest grossing film of the year. After the success of the player, it has been 24 years and Akki is still one of the top stars of Bollywood. Although the last total year was bad for the actor’s career and many of his big budget films were piled at the box office but earlier this year, Akshay made a blank force with Sky Force.
