The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday (December 20, 2024) lodged a strong protest with the interim government of Bangladesh. India issued a warning on the controversial post made by Mahfooz Alam, a key aide of the Bangladesh government. Considering these statements as irresponsible and serious, India has made its stand clear to Dhaka.
Randhir Jaiswal said in a press conference "We have lodged our strong protest with the Bangladesh side on this issue. We understand that the post in question has reportedly been removed. We would like to remind all concerned to be mindful of their public comments. While India has repeatedly tried to promote relations with the people and interim government of Bangladesh, such comments could affect relations between the two countries."
