Most of us think about liver when there is a problem in it. Whereas it is the most hardworking part of our body. Liver maintains digestion, processes food and drink and removes toxins from the body. Liver is considered even more special in Ayurveda. It has been linked to a blood vessel source, that is, it not only controls the flow of blood and bile, but its imbalance can affect many organs including the heart, lungs and stomach.

According to Dr. Somit Kumar, Chief Scientific Officer of AVP Research Foundation, not a big change to keep the liver healthy, but small changes in life are necessary. According to Ayurveda, the liver is directly related to bile defects, which controls heat and digestion in the body. Drinking excessive alcohol or eating excessively salty and citrus spoils this balance, which increases the pressure on the liver. Its effect can be seen in swelling, cell damage and premature aging.

In Ayurveda, there is also a mention of fire or digestive fire, which converts food into juice metal. The liver has five subtle fire (ghost fire), which detox, digest and renew the body.

How should the food be?

The liver is not taken care of by eating balanced not with fancy diet. According to Ayurveda:

Eat in the routine: Eat on time, avoid diet (against diet) inverted and include all six juices in the diet.

Easy Digging Food: Take grains like rice, oats, wheat, barley and millet. Moong is considered the lightest among pulses.

Fruits and Vegetables: Apples, papaya, pomegranate are beneficial for liver, but do not consume too much citrus fruits and mangoes. Carrots and beets are better options in vegetables.

Dairy Products: Ghee and buttermilk are beneficial, while eating curd and cheese in limited quantities.

Importance of herbs and spices

Turmeric is considered a natural anti-inflammatory due to curcumin. Garlic, ginger, cumin, fennel, black pepper: improve digestion and reduce stress on the liver. Giloy, Bhumamalki, Multi: Renew Liver Sales and remove toxins.

Lifestyle tips

  • Do a little exercise, yoga or walk daily.
  • Reduce stress adopt meditation and mindfulness.
  • Get enough sleep, because the liver repair is in sleep.
