Women Actors Released from Detention : After the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s power in Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus’s interim government is keeping a close watch on the people associated with him and on the basis of doubt, they are also taking people into custody. In this episode, two women actresses from Bangladesh Meher Afroz Shaun and Sohana Saba were taken into custody by the police on Thursday (6 February), after which they were released on Friday (7 February).

Both these actors were detained on charges of plotting against Bangladesh. DMP Deputy Commissioner told Bangladesh media on Saturday (February 7), “After interrogation, both actors have been released and handed over to their families tomorrow afternoon.”

Shaun’s father nominated in the election, mother has been MP

It is noteworthy that Mohammad Ali, father of actor Meher Afroz Shaun, had nominated the Awami League for the Jamalpur-4 (Sadar) constituency before the 12th parliamentary elections in 2024. At the same time, his mother Begum Tehura Ali has also been an MP from the seat reserved for women from 1996 to 2001 and then 2001 to 2014.

Accused of plotting against the state

Actress Sean was detained by the Crime Branch of Bangladesh from her village house in Jamalpur. At the same time, Sohana Saba was also detained on the same night on the same night. However, this is not the first time in Bangladesh when the people associated with Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League have been arrested or detained. The Mohammad Yunus government of the country is taking people associated with the Awami League of conspiring against the country and taking it into custody on suspicion. Apart from this, a crowd of protesters across the country is setting fire to the houses of Awami League leaders and workers.

As soon as Shaun came to know about the allegation of conspiracy against the country. The protesters set their house on fire. Actors were arrested after the protesters set the house on fire. However, no action is yet known against those who set the actor’s house on fire. It can be gauged from this that what will be the status of law and order in Bangladesh.
