Annual salary 100 times less than hourly earnings

It is interesting to know that Jeff Bezos’ annual salary of Rs 67 lakh i.e. 80 thousand dollars is 100 times less than his hourly earning of Rs 67 crore i.e. 80 lakh dollars. Jeff Bezos says that he did not increase his salary even when he was the CEO of Amazon or after stepping down as CEO. Because their stake in Amazon also earns a good amount of money. Apart from this, they also get various types of incentives from the company. There has been no change in Jeff Bezos’ basic salary since 1998. Jeff Bezos tells the New York Times that he does not feel good taking more from the company. According to Fortune report, Jeff Bezos, owner of 10 percent stake in Amazon, keeps selling his shares continuously at intervals of a few days after stepping down as CEO of Amazon.

No compensation was taken from the company

Despite stepping down as CEO and continuously selling his shares in the company, Jeff Bezos did not take any compensation. He also clearly told the company’s committee that decides the compensation that he does not accept this. Bezos says that he is proud of his decision, because if he had taken the compensation, he would not have felt good.
