Part of Lord Shiva, special worship of Lord Shri Ram’s devotee and Vayu son Hanuman ji is done on Tuesday. Devotees also fast on this day. In the ‘religious of the story’, we know about the amazing pastimes related to the life of Lord Hanuman. One of Hanuman’s many pastimes is to try to swallow the sun.

According to the legend, a wonderful child was born to the house of Kesari Nandan and Mata Anjani, named Maruti. Due to Shivji being the 11th Rudravatar, Maruti i.e. Hanuman also had supernatural powers. He was fickle, strong and intelligent.

Once Maruti was hungry for full swing, but nothing was seen to eat nearby. Then Maruti’s eyes fell on the sun towards the sky. The child considered Maruti Suraj as the fruit of mango and flew towards the sky to eat.

But as Maruti was going close to the sun, the sun gods were also making up their size. Then Rahu looked that some power is going close to the sun. Rahu immediately informed Indra about this.

Indra reached there and asked the child Hanuman to stop. But where was Chanchal Hanuman going to believe. Being forced, Indra attacked him with his thunderbolt, causing Hanuman to fall down. When the goddess the goddess came to know about this, he became angry and stopped the speed of the air cycle of the entire creation.

Due to the stopping of air, the creatures suffocated. Here the gods also became worried that the pace of the three worlds will also stop due to the stopping of the air. All the gods went to Pawan Dev for the solution and apologized.

In order to calm Pawan Dev, all the gods gave Hanuman their own powers in boon. Like Brahma got immortality from Brahma, knowledge of energy and Vedas from the Sun, he got mace from Kubera.

Similarly, Hanuman was blessed by many gods like Vishwakarma, Varuna, protecting Hanuman from fire, power of not drowning in water, art of flying in the air and Hanuman was blessed with the boon.
