The CEO of the company talked about the earnings of Zomato’s delivery partners.


Zomato: Online food delivery platform Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal recently revealed the earnings of its delivery partners. According to a report by CNBC-TV18, in 2024, Zomato’s 1.5 million delivery partners will earn an average of Rs 28,000 per month, excluding fuel cost of around Rs 5,000. Deepinder described it as attractive compared to alternative income opportunities.

Work has to be done so many days a week

The average monthly income of delivery partners saw an increase of 2.3 percent in 2024, which was Rs 27,109 in 2023. Deepinder said, “This much was earned by those delivery partners who worked for at least eight hours 26 days a month. However, in the last few years, the working hours and days of delivery partners have reduced. Deepinder further says that Zomato’s delivery partners can log in at any time of the day or any day of the week. They don’t even need to work every day.

Insurance policy for delivery partners also

In a conversation with CNBC-TV18, some delivery partners said that after taking out all the expenses, they need to work 6-8 hours a day to earn a decent amount. It’s a full-time job, but there are no Social Security benefits. Whereas according to the report, Deepinder said, “Many delivery partners work part time in Zomato for secondary source of income.” Some work with us seasonally, while the rest work elsewhere.” Deepinder also said, “The company provides insurance policies for all delivery partners, which includes accident, death, health coverage. In the last four years, the number of claims processed has more than doubled to Rs 53 crore per year.
