A well-known Texas lawyer has decided to celebrate his birthday in the most unique way possible. Thomas J. Henry declared in a string of Instagram posts that he was tired of extravagant parties and would volunteer $1 million to strangers as a way to give back to others.
In a video, Henry shared that he chose to do something unusual this year for his birthday on April 5. He also expressed gratitude to everyone who helped him along the way.
“It’s Thomas J. Henry’s birthday — but this year, you’re getting the gift! We’re excited to announce the TJH Million Dollar Giveaway — a statewide campaign to give back to the people of Texas in a BIG way,” a post shared on the official Instagram page of Henry’s firm reads.
“Starting Monday, April 7th, we’re giving away $25,000 every week — that’s five winners taking home $5,000 every single week. And in December, it all leads up to two grand prize winners — each receiving $100,000!” the post further adds.
Towards the end of his now-viral post, the Texas lawyer stated: “It’s our way of saying THANK YOU to those who follow us, hire us, trust us, and supported us. Now, it’s our turn to give back. Let’s do this! Tag a friend to let them know!”

Shared on April 6, the video has racked up over 43,000 views so far. The clip has also garnered appreciation from online users for Henry’s generous act.
