A Telangana man achieved the Guinness World Record for a bizarre feat – stopping 57 electric fans with his tongue in one minute. He is Kranthi Kumar Panikera, also known as “drill man” for his unusual and fearless stunts.
Panikera is a resident of Suryapet who is famous for his bizarre stunts – like putting a drill in his nose and stopping a fan with his fingers. He has appeared on several popular reality shows and is a four-time Guinness record holder.
Guinness World Records shared a clip of Panikhera on Instagram and wrote, “Most electric fan blades stopped using the tongue in one minute, 57, by Kranthi Kumar Panikera DrillMan.” The video shows Panikera using his tongue to stop the spinning blades within a restricted timeframe with unique speed and precision.
“Dear Guinness World Records Team, I have come from a Small Village where dreaming Big seems too big for us. Today achieving Four Guinness World Records seems unbelievable. I am truly honoured and grateful to have been recognised by the Guinness World Records,” he said in the comments on the post.
“This achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the hard work and dedication I had put all these years,” Panikera added.
The video instantly become a viral sensation on social media, garnering close to 60 million views on Instagram and sparking a flurry of reactions from netizens, who expressed concern over the danger in such acts and questioned the purpose of such an unusual record.
“How is his tongue not cut off?” one user wrote. “Why is this even something worthy of a record?” wrote another netizen. A user made a pun joke by saying, “With such a talent, it’s no wonder he has so many fans.”
“Never skip tongue day,” another individual humourously added. “They asked him to do a speech but he was tongue-tied,” another stated.
