According to Korean media reports, the family of one such passenger reportedly said that they had received a message from the person on board the plane minutes before the crash. The person had written that a bird had collided with the plane.

In another message the man said: “Should I say my last words?”

How did the accident happen?

Jeju Air is one of the largest airlines offering low cost travel. For this reason also, planes are the first choice of common people. This accident is the first such major accident in the history of this aircraft. Fire department officials have told news agency Reuters that two people have been found alive and have been taken out of the debris and taken to hospital.

Airport officials say that work has been done to save people from the rear part of the plane. According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, 173 of the passengers on board the plane were from South Korea and two were from Thailand.

No concrete reason has been found behind the plane crash. However, according to news agency Yonhap, the cause of the accident seems to be the plane colliding with birds. However, in some videos on social media it is being claimed that the landing gear of the plane was not fully opened before it landed and this could also be a possible reason for the accident.

The Korean government said?

According to a press briefing by South Korea’s Transport Ministry, the control tower issued the warning at 8:57 am. The plane’s pilot immediately declared a May Day (code for emergency) at 8:58 a.m. and attempted to land at 9 a.m., but crashed three minutes later at 9:03 a.m. while landing without landing gear. . “Shortly before landing on Runway No. 1, the airport control tower issued a warning that there was a risk of bird strike during landing,” the ministry said.
