South copy these films of Akshay Kumar, only one hit, the rest is bad

Akshay Kumar Films South Remakes: Akshay Kumar is in discussion about his recent release film Kesari 2 these days. Of these, only one remake film was hit at the box office, the remaining three films flopped badly.

Player- Flour Hudugata
The film Khiladi, released in 1992, is one of Akshay Kumar’s hit films. The film was directed by Abbas-Mastan in which Ayesha Julka and Deepak Tijori also appeared in important roles. Three years later, in 1995, the film remake was made in South, named ‘Ata Hudugata’. B. The Kannada film directed by Ramamurthy featured artists like Raghavendra Rajkumar, Prema and Shivranjan. This film proved to be a flop at the box office.

Special 26- Police Station Cerndha Kuttam
Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘Special 26’ was directed by Neeraj Pandey. In the film, which came on screen in 2013, actors like Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee and Kajal Aggarwal were also seen. ‘Special 26’ was a semi -hit at the box office, but when its remake in Tamil became ‘Thanadha Kuttam’, it proved to be a flop. Released in 2018, in this film, Surya, Kirti Suresh, Ramya Krishnan, R.K. J. Balaji and Karthik were seen.

Khaki- Satyameva Jayate’
In ‘Khaki’, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan were in important roles with Akshay Kumar. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film was released in 2004 and made average collection at the box office. After 5 years, in 2009, a Tamil remake of Khaki was made in the name of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which was directed by Jeevita Rajasekhar. However, this film proved to be a flop at the box office.

OMG- Gopala Gopala/Mukund Murari
Umesh Shukla’s directed film ‘OMG’ came on screen in 2012 and was a super hit at the box office. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty were also seen in this film. In view of the tremendous success of the film, not one, two remakes were made in South. The first remake of ‘OMG’ was released in 2015, named ‘Gopala Gopala’. It was a Telugu film in which Daggubati Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan appeared in the lead roles. The next year, the second remake of ‘OMG’ ‘Mukund Murari’ was released. Both these remakes of OMG were hit at the box office.
