UK Indian Lady Murder: Police in Ilford, London, found a body, that of 24-year-old Indian woman Harshita Brela, inside the boot of a silver Vauxhall Corsa parked on Brisbane Road on the morning of 11 November. The deceased was born in Delhi. She was married to Pankaj Lamba in August last year, after which she went to the United Kingdom in April this year. However, a few days ago she went missing from her home in Northamptonshire. After this, there was a stir after the dead body was found on 11 November. The post mortem of the body revealed that she had been strangled.
According to police, Harshita was probably murdered by her 23-year-old husband Pankaj, who allegedly fled the country soon after committing the crime. Harshita’s body was hidden in the trunk of a car and taken 145 kilometers south to Ilford before being dumped.
Northampton Police said, “Our inquiries led us to suspect that Harshita was murdered by her husband Pankaj Lamba in Northamptonshire earlier this month. We suspect that Lamba drove Harshita’s body from Northamptonshire to Ilford (East London) by car. ) We believe that he has now fled the country and is conducting door to door searches including CCTV. According to Harshita’s sister Sonia Dabas, she worked in a warehouse and Pankaj was a student in London.
