On the night of 23 July 2025, 30 -year -old Gurmukh Singh alias Gary was stabbed with a knife on Felbridge Road in Ellford region of East London. Police and London Ambulance Service received information about a quarrel, after which they reached the spot. Although paramedics tried his best to treat his wounds, Gary died on the spot.
According to the postmortem report, the cause of death was to put a knife in his left thigh. The incident came out like a deep shock for the British Sikh community not only the death of one person. The investigation of the murder is going on under the leadership of the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime North Unit. Police arrested 27 -year -old Amardeep Singh on charges of murder in this case, which will be produced in Old Belly Court on 5 January 2026. Till then he will remain in custody.
Arrested in tightness case
Four other people were also arrested in the case of knife, including a 29 -year -old man and 29, 30, and 54 years old. Although these four have been released on bail till October, but the police say that this investigation is still in the initial stage. Detective Chief Inspector Jona York told the media that this seems to be a single incident. He also admitted that such incidents fear the local community and police presence in the area has been increased till the investigation is completed.
Gary Singh is a dear and sociable person
The family of the victim Gary Singh described him as a very dear and sociable person. In a statement issued by the police, his family said that Gary was a true sociable person who had a wonderful ability to join everyone. He did not love anything more than living with his family.
