Credit Card: Everyone likes to travel and see the world. But, the time and money involved in this breaks people’s courage. Most of the people are just going on living with their unfulfilled desires. But, the story of Pune-based chartered accountant Preeti Jain is very interesting. She used her credit card so brilliantly that she stayed for 3 days in a luxurious hotel costing Rs 1 lakh, but she did not have to pay a single penny. She returned after doing a wonderful tour for free. He has shared his story on social media, which is becoming increasingly viral. People are curious to know how he did it.
This journey was done on the basis of credit card reward points
Actually, Preeti Jain took this 3rd trip to Uttarakhand on the basis of credit card reward points. He had the Platinum Card of American Express. Through this he earned 58,000 membership reward points. After this, she stayed for 3 days in Marriott Resort, the bill for which should have been around Rs 3 lakh. But, he did not have to pay a single rupee on the basis of membership reward points. He told that I had spent about Rs 4 lakh through credit card. The points received through this were converted into Marriott Bonvoy points. On the basis of these points, you can stay in any hotel or resort of Marriott.
Marriott gave upgrade, profit of Rs 1.5 lakh
He wrote on social media platform X that he had booked a regular room. However, Marriott gave him an upgrade to a Premier Room. The executive suite was given the next day. He said that it was an absolutely royal experience. The rent of this room is around Rs 90 thousand. We were given breakfast. Experienced Ganga Aarti, live music, good food and a wonderful experience there. He wrote that with the points I had, only Rs 1.5 lakh could be saved. But, because of this upgrade we saved Rs 3 lakh.
The Hotel entrance was smaller than we expected but very tastefully done🤌
relatively less crowded as we arrived on a weekded, we welcomed warmly by the staff.
Liked how well organised they were with the check-in, with almost everything ready before we arrived. pic.twitter.com/mEGKLLrWhw— Priti Jain (@mepritijain) October 19, 2024
