Shashi Tharoor’s stance on the oil deal of America and Pakistan, said- ‘Getting oil in Pak is just an illusion’

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has made fun of the agreement between the US and Pakistan on Thursday (July 31, 2025). He lashed out at America and said that there has been confusion about America getting oil in Pakistan. At the same time, Tharoor has also called the US President Donald Trump a very serious matter calling India’s economy a ‘dead economy’.

Shashi Tharoor, Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, told the news agency PTI during a conversation in the Parliament complex on Thursday (31 July). Hours before Shashi Tharoor’s statement, US President Donald Trump announced on his social media platform Truth Social Social that the US had signed an agreement with Pakistan to jointly develop its huge oil reserves. At the same time, Trump also called it a big energy partnership.

Trump also said that this partnership is still in its early stage and no major oil company has been selected yet.

At the same time, MP Shashi Tharoor said about the agreement between Pakistan and America, “I think they (America) have got some confusion about getting oil in Pakistan and I wish them a lot of best wishes.” He said, “We were ever only one country and I never heard in any report that there is any oil reserves in Pakistan. But if Americans want to go there and search, let them do it.”

Shashi Tharoor said about Trump’s comment on India’s economy

According to the news agency ANI, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has objected to the US President’s economy called the economy and he called it a very serious matter. He said, “To buy oil and gas from Russia, the US has imposed a fine of more than 25 percent on us, which can also go up to 35 to 45 percent. It is even discussed to impose 100 percent fine on it, which will completely destroy trade with our US.”

Trump said to the economy of Russia and India ‘Dead economy’

Targeting the business relations between India and Russia, US President Donald Trump said on Thursday (July 31, 2025) that he did not care what India does with Russia and termed the economy of the two countries as a dead economy.
