A Reddit post is grabbing a lot of attention after a user shared her disappointing experience with a Delhi-based bakery, Creme Castle, which featured on Shark Tank Season 3.
The woman (Reddit username Kookie69420) had ordered a cake for her mother’s birthday through an online food delivery platform, requesting a customised message. However, the final delivered item had the entire instruction printed on it, instead of just the intended birthday message.
The Woman Shared Her Ordeal On Reddit
Upset with the incident, the woman shared a post on the r/SharkTankIndia community, where she narrated the episode and what followed after that. According to the woman, she tried contacting the customer service of the bakery, seeking a resolution to the incident.
“Presenting you, Creme Castle. Ordered this cake from Creme Castle. 300 grams for a whopping Rs 400 and this is what I got. Plus, the customer service is so bad,” the woman said.
The photo of the cake showed that it read: “Mummy. Text With Frosting” The bill’s image shared by the woman showed that she had asked to write, “Add ‘Happy Birthday Mummy’ text with frosting.”
She also shared the screenshots of the conversation with the customer service of the bakery. It showed that when she asked for a resolution, they said that a refund was not possible.
“Why? You ruin someone’s cake and then you can’t help,” she replied in the WhatsApp communication.
What Was The Internet’s Reaction
The incident has led to mixed reactions among other Redditors. While some echoed the woman’s sentiments about poor customer service, most people thought it was bizarre, but “hilarious.”
“If I get this cake, it’ll be such a meme day for me,” a user commented. To this, another user said that the customer still deserves a refund in such cases.
Then, another user replied: “Why a refund. Just remove the ‘text with frosting’ with chocolate and it’s fixed.”
“I know, right. I don’t get what the big deal is. It’s funny,” a comment read on this reaction thread.
“I’m so sorry, but that’s just straight up meme material,” a different comment on the post read.
Many people shared similar thoughts, while a few narrated their own similar experiences, leading to a meme fest on the post.
