Taiwan earthquake: An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude shook people in the southern part of Taiwan on Monday night (January 20). According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was felt at 12:17 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 12 kilometers north of Yujing. 15 people have been slightly injured in this incident and rescue workers are assessing the damage.
According to Taiwan’s Fire Brigade Department, 15 people affected by the earthquake have been injured, due to which they have been admitted to the hospital. These include six people, including a child, rescued from the debris of a house in Nanxi district of Tainan city. There has also been information about damage to Zhuwei Bridge due to the earthquake.
