Stock Market Today: Israel-Iran tension seems to have a direct impact on the stock market. On Tuesday, June 17, 2025 on the second day of the business week, there was a 30 -point Sensex flat move on BSE. The Sensex is trading at a level of 81,659.87 with a gain of 120.50 points i.e. 0.15 per cent. Whereas, NISAI’s Nifty is also trading around 24950 with an increase of 50.45 points i.e. 0.16 percent. Here, the shares of Vishal Mega fell seven percent. However, the shares of Axiscades are seeing five percent rise.
Asian market boom
There was an increase in the Asian market on Tuesday. Japan’s Nikkei jumped 0.68, while Kospi went up with 1.40 percent. ASX 200 did not show any change while Dou Jones also rose 0.75 percent, S&P 500 also rose 0.94 percent. Nasdaq composite has seen an increase of 1.52 percent. The price of crude oil is being seen in a boom. After trailing on $ 70 per barrel, it has once again come to $ 74 per barrel.
Market buzzing a day before
Amidst strong global signals, the local stock markets on Monday returned due to shopping in IT and petroleum shares and softening of crude oil prices. The Sensex climbed 677.55 points or 0.84 percent to close at 81,796.15. At one time during the business, it had jumped 747.22 points to 81,865.82. The NSE’s 50 -share index Nifty jumped 227.90 points i.e. 0.92 percent to close at 24,946.50.
The Sensex slipped 1,396.54 points and the Nifty 422.8 points in the last two sessions due to the heavy tension in Iran-Israel. Among the companies in the Group of Sensex, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Consultancy Services, Internal (East Zomato), Asian Paints, Tata Steel and Kotak Mahindra Bank closed with an edge. On the other hand, shares of Tata Motors, Adani Ports and Sun Pharma declined.
