Sensex crosses 78000 with jump of 800 points, investors’ wealth increased by Rs 5 lakh crore


Stock Market Opening On 19 November 2024: Tuesday has been a very auspicious start for the Indian stock market. Indian markets have opened on a positive note due to investor buying and excellent global signals. This rally is being led by the stocks of IT Energy Banking sector. Sensex has again succeeded in crossing 78000. At present, BSE Sensex is trading at 78083 with a rise of 725 points and Nifty of National Stock Exchange is trading at 23,681 points with a rise of 227 points. 

Rising and falling shares 

In today’s trading, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 are trading with a rise while 4 are in decline. Among the rising stocks, Tata Motors 2.18 percent, NTPC 2.17 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.61 percent, Adani Ports 1.55 percent, Infosys 1.47 percent, TCS 1.01 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.89 percent, Tech Mahindra 0.79 percent, Power Grid 0.75 percent. Doing business. Among the falling stocks, Kotak Mahindra Bank is trading with a decline of 0.49 percent, Bajaj Finserv 0.48 percent, Sun Pharma 0.24 percent, Axis Bank 0.05 percent. Of the fifty stocks of Nifty 50, 46 are trading with a rise while 4 are with a fall. 

Investors’ wealth increased by Rs 4 lakh crore 

There has been a huge surge in the wealth of investors due to the strong opening of the stock market in Tuesday’s session. The market cap of stocks listed on BSE has reached Rs 432.96 lakh crore, which was Rs 429.08 lakh crore in the last session. In today’s session, a jump of Rs 3.88 lakh crore is being seen in the wealth of investors.

In today’s trade, shares of IT, Banking, Auto, Pharma, FMCG, Metals, Energy, Consumer Durables, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors are trading rapidly. Nifty Midcap index is trading with a rise of 818 points and Nifty Smallcap index is trading with a rise of 287 points. India VIX is trading with a decline of 4.09 percent.
