Spectrum Rocket Crashes After Launch: Europe’s space program suffered a major setback on Sunday (March 30, 2025) when a rocket crashed just 40 seconds after flying in Norway. A video of this incident has surfaced, in which the rocket can be seen bursting.
According to reports, this rocket was developed from Europe to speed up satellite launch. However, soon after flying, it fell to the ground and crashed. The German Startup Isar Aerospace called it an initial test.
Space Mission of Europe
According to the report, spectrum rocket was trying to launch a successful launch from Europe. On this mission, Sweden, Britain and other countries had expressed their desire for their participation in the commercial space mission. However, Isar Aerospace had already warned that the initial launch could end before expectation. Despite the rocket burst, the company reported that the incident has found significant data, which will prove useful for future campaigns.
Company statement
According to the AFP report, before the launch, Daniel Metzler, co-founder and CEO of Isar Aerospace, said, “Every flight is important for us because it gives us data and experience. Flight up to 30 seconds will also be a big achievement for us.” He further informed that the company did not expect to reach the class through this test. In fact, so far no company has been able to successfully adjust its first orbital launch vehicle to orbit.
The purpose of spectrum rocket
The spectrum rocket launched from Norway’s Arctic Endoya Spaceport is designed for the launch of small and medium -sized satellites (weighing up to a metric ton). However, there was no payload in this first test flight. The Bavarian Isar Aerospace had already made it clear that the main objective of this mission was to take the first integrated test of all the systems of their self -made launch vehicles.

Video went viral
The video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media. NSF (National Space Forum) shared a video and wrote, “Launched! The spectrum of Isar Aerospace was launched from the Endoya Space Center in Rocket Norway, but it failed in the first phase itself.” It can be clearly seen in the video that the rocket exploded a few seconds after the launch, which proved to be unsuccessful.
