Chinese Ambassador to India on Dalai Lama: Chinese Ambassador to India, Shoo Faihong, has issued a statement on Sunday (July 6, 2025) about the comments being made about the election and rebirth of the Dalai Lama. Chinese Ambassador Faihong said that we are focusing on the comments made about the rebirth of the Dalai Lama. We do not accept the intervention of anyone in this matter.
Chinese Ambassador Shoo Faihong shared a post on the social media platform X on Sunday (July 6). In the post, Faihongge said, “It has been noted that recently, comments have been made by some of India’s officials regarding the rebirth of the Dalai Lama. The Chinese government completely opposed the efforts to interfere with any foreign organization or person in this matter to intervene in the process of rebirth and to give any kind of guidelines.”
Shijang is an integral part of China- Faihong
Faihong said, “Shijang (Tibet) is an integral part of the Chinese region. Tibetan Buddhism is originated from the Chingahai-Tibetan plateau of China. Tibetan Buddhism has started mainly within China and the beginning of the tradition of Dalai Lama and developed in the Tibetan region of China.”
This is China’s internal case- Faihong
He said, “The Dalai Lama has the right to give religious beliefs and titles to all his living Buddhas only and only with the Central Government of China. Also, the Dalai Lama’s rebirth and their succession election is completely internal matter of China.”
He said, “The Chinese government emphasizes the principle of freedom and self -sufficiency in religious affairs. In addition, the government conducts the process of rebirth of all living Buddhas under the law under the law and China will not allow any external power to intervene in this process in this case.”
