In a remarkable act of devotion, the Shri Sanwalia Seth Temple in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district has once again drawn public attention. Revered for its miracles and the unwavering faith of devotees, the temple recently received an extraordinary offering—one that has now gone viral on social media.
Mangilal Jaroli, a businessman from Dungla in Chittorgarh, fulfilled a longstanding vow by presenting the temple with a petrol pump crafted from 10 kg of silver. This unique gift was in gratitude for the approval of his sons’ petrol pump application, a process that took 67 years. Mangilal had promised Sanwalia Seth that he would gift a silver petrol pump if his sons, Kushal Kumar and Sushil Kumar, received the necessary permissions.
The petrol pump, along with a tableau of 56 offerings, was presented at the temple in a grand ceremony. Videos of the offering, showing Mangilal and his family transporting the silver petrol pump on a cart to the temple, have been widely shared on social media, where viewers express amazement at such devotion.
Shri Sanwalia Seth Temple, situated in Mandfia, Chittorgarh, is a revered shrine of Lord Krishna. Devotees consider Sanwalia Seth as a partner in their businesses, offering a portion of their profits to the temple. The temple’s recent monthly treasury count amassed offerings exceeding Rs 29 crore, including gold, silver, and foreign currency. Previously, unusual offerings such as silver helicopters, houses, and ball-stumps have highlighted the devout faith of the worshippers.
Security during the offering was stringent, with newly installed CCTV cameras costing Rs 30 lakh ensuring the safety of devotees and monitoring the gifts. The temple administration has embraced Mangilal’s offering, appreciating his faith and recognising it as part of the temple’s longstanding traditions.
