Lady Eliza Spencer, niece and look-alike of the late Princess Diana, is officially engaged to her long-time South African partner, Channing Millerd. Their dreamy proposal during a getaway in Santorini has taken the internet by storm.
The aristocrat, 33, announced the exciting news with a series of loved-up images from the special moment — which took place during the couple’s recent getaway to Santorini, Greece.
“Forever and Ever,” Spencer captioned the sweet Instagram post.
In the images, Eliza can be seen flashing her diamond sparkler with the stunning views of the Aegean Sea in the background. One of the pictures also shows the romantic set-up, which includes a candle-lit dinner surrounded by flowers overlooking the caldera.
Her post on social media garnered a lot of love. Eliza’s twin sister, Lady Amelia, expressed her excitement and commented, “The best news everrrrrrrr. I couldn’t be happier for you both! The BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD. I love you both with all my heart! The perfect couple and dream engagement.”
However, amid the joyous moments and blessings for the couple, Eliza’s father and brother of the late Princess Diana — Earl Charles Spencer — is missing. As per a report by New York Times, he has not publicly congratulated his daughter on the news.
In an interaction with Hello Magazine in March, Eliza shared her plans for the wedding.
“We love the idea of a destination wedding,” she said in March. “We feel drawn to Italy, especially somewhere by the ocean — that feels so romantic to us. Spain has that same coastal charm we adore.”
“At the same time, Amelia and Greg’s wedding in Cape Town was unforgettable, and South Africa will always be home,” she added.
