Three minor boys in Odisha’s Boudh district were detained for a dangerous stunt where one lay on railway tracks as a train passed over him.

Three minor boys have been detained in Odisha’s Boudh district for a life-threatening stunt in which one of them lay on railway tracks as the train passed over him at high speed. This is another case of social media frenzy where in wake of making reels and videos, people are putting themselves in grave danger. Specially in such case where young children are exposing themselves in life-risking situation.
The video of this entire incident went viral and social media users shared it and expressed concern. The video shows a boy lying on railway track, while his two friends are seen directing and recording the stunt. The train passes over the boy without causing any harm and soon after all three boys were seen cheering.

As per the reports, the incident took place near Dalupali, close to the Purunapani railway station. Train services in this area were introduced shortly. Acting on the incident, local police have detained the boys and questioned them. Police highlighted serious security breach and condemned their reckless behaviour.
As per a report by Moneycontrol, the boy who laid down on the railway track told police that he was very scared as the train passed by. He also admitted that he did not expect to survive. Minors also admitted that they performed such dangerous stunt to get attention on social media.
In a similar incident, a man in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao lay on railway tracks to shoot a video. Ranjit Chaurasia, a resident of Unnao’s Hasanganj, shot a video as he lay on the tracks and a train passed over him. He then got up and continued walking on the rail tracks near Kusumbhi station.
The Government Railway Police arrested Chaurasia after the video went viral.
