PM Kisan: When will share cropping farmers get the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, know the government’s answer


PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: The government has distributed a total of Rs 20,657 crore to more than 9.58 crore farmers in the latest 18th installment under the PM-Kisan scheme. In a written reply to a question asked in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Agriculture Ramnath Thakur said that under the 18th installment of PM-Kisan for the period August-November 2024, 9,58,97,635 farmers have received Rs 20,657.36 crore. Answering another question, he said that at present, no proposal to extend this scheme to sharecropper farmers is under consideration of the government.

Till now distribution of more than Rs 3.46 lakh crore in 18 installments

Maintaining complete transparency in registration and validation of beneficiaries, the Government of India has distributed more than Rs 3.46 lakh crore in 18 installments since its inception. Ramnath Thakur said that during the release of the 18th installment of PM Kisan, more than 9.58 crore beneficiaries have got the benefit of the scheme.

When did the farmers get the money for the 18th installment?

On October 5, the 18th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi was released, giving Navratri gift to crores of farmers of the country. PM Modi, who was on Maharashtra tour, had transferred Rs 20 thousand crores to about 9.4 crore farmers.

Financial benefits are being extended to all the farmers across the country

Ramnath Thakur said that PM-Kisan Yojana is a central sector scheme launched by the Prime Minister in February 2019 to meet the financial needs of farmers. He said that the farmer-centric digital infrastructure has ensured that the benefits of the scheme reach all farmers across the country without the involvement of any middleman. Under this scheme, financial benefit of Rs 6000 is transferred every year in three equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) method in the bank accounts of farmers linked to Aadhaar card.
