It appears that children’s beloved cartoon character Peppa Pig will soon be a big sister. The phenomenal show that has been wooing viewers of young age showcases Peppa Pig learning something new every day while enjoying with her family. Now, as per the official Instagram page dedicated to the show, the animated character’s mother, Mummy Pig, is pregnant for a third time. FYI, the show, streaming in over 40 languages, has fans worldwide.
During a special segment on Good Morning Britain, Mummy Pig shared the exciting news and said, “I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because we’re having another baby. I’m due in the summer, and we’re all so excited.”
Speaking further, she continued, “A little overwhelmed at the thought of having 3 children under 5 running around, but mostly just completely delighted.”
Reflecting on Peppa Pig’s reaction to the delightful news, her mother noted that she could not keep the secret for long as the cartoon character was curious. The mom went on saying, “We weren’t able to keep it a secret for long. Peppa knew something was going on, and she’s such a curious thing – we had to tell her before she popped!” her mom said.
“They’ve had the occasional wobble and worry, but they’re mostly so excited! Every day they ask me how big the baby is, when is it coming, does it like Muddy Puddles and dinosaurs… It never stops!” she continued.
Earlier, Esra Cafer, a senior vice president of franchise strategy and management at Hasbro – the company that owns the Peppa Pig franchise, talked about the need for the addition to the show. She said children with a new sibling who are yet to go to school will learn how to handle the situation. Furthermore, the show’s new update allows parents and children to learn with Peppa as she navigates this new territory.
In each episode of Peppa Pig, she talks about her family – Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig and younger brother Georg. Additionally, she also reflects on more things around her.
The announcement of Peppa Pig’s new sibling has the Internet buzzing with excitement. Users are extremely happy about the new addition to the show with some curious to know about the gender reveal and baby shower.
