Pakistan in Trouble : Pakistan’s troubles are not ending. Once again a situation of political instability appears to be developing in Pakistan. Lockdown in the capital Islamabad, converting the entire city into a cantonment and ordering shoot at site to control the situation makes it clear that the situation is now going out of control.
How the political situation deteriorated in Pakistan?
Supporters of Tehreek-e-Insaf in Pakistan believe that former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been betrayed. First of all, he was ousted from power through a no-confidence motion in the year 2022 and then hundreds of cases were made and he was put in jail. The party’s symbol was snatched away and it was not even allowed to participate in the elections held in February this year. Imran Khan and his party PTI have alleged that public votes have been looted at the instigation of the army. Therefore PTI demands that imran khan should be released and the correct results of the elections should be announced.
Being accused of human rights violation
Many media organizations claim that during the protests in Islamabad, security personnel had opened fire on the crowd. In which many people lost their lives. Along with human rights organization Amnesty International, America has also expressed concern about human rights violations in Pakistan.
Growing dissatisfaction in Balochistan
Dissatisfaction is also continuously increasing in Balochistan of Pakistan. Recently there were attacks on security personnel, Chinese citizens and non-Baloch people. Since the partition of India and Pakistan, no government of Pakistan has properly handled the affairs of Balochistan, which has been demanding independence. In such a situation, the opening of a new front in the country’s capital itself is bad news for Pakistan.
Pakistan is sinking under the economic burden
According to Pakistan Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, due to protests in Pakistan, there is a loss of about 518 million dollars every day. In such a situation, this amount is very big for a country which is running on the basis of debt. According to the IMF report of October this year, the IMF has promised Islamabad a new loan of $7 billion with strict economic reform conditions. In such a situation, apart from economic problems, political instability may cause further problems in Pakistan.
