According to a report by Reuters, this ban may apply from next week itself.

The report said that the Trump administration has prepared a list for traveling ban on the basis of government review of the security and investigation of the countries. Sources told the Reuters, other countries may also be in the list, but they did not name any other country.

Trump had imposed travel ban on 7 countries even in the first term

This move of Donald Trump reminds of the travel ban on 7 Muslim countries during his first US President’s tenure. This was a policy that passed through many recurrents before the Supreme Court was introduced in 2018. At the same time, in 2021, former US President Joe Biden canceled the ban, calling it a blot on national intercourse.

Trump’s fast investigation process

An executive order was signed by Donald Trump after taking over as US President on 20 January 2025. According to which, to find out the national security threats, he had instructed to conduct intensive security checks of a citizen of any country entering America.

Under this order, several cabinet members have been instructed to introduce the list of countries before March 12, from where partial or completely traveling should be registered. Because the investigation or screening process in those countries is very weak.

Travel ban will affect Afghan refugees

The implementation of Trump’s new travel ban may affect thousands of Afghan refugees who have been approved for rehabilitation in Refugee and America in the US. Because the refugees are in danger of resistance from the Taliban due to working for America during the 20 -year war in their country. According to the report by Reuters, Pakistan and Afghanistan will be included in the Recomed list for full journey ban.
