Pakistan News: Seven security personnel were killed, while 18 others were injured in a terrorist attack on a check post located on a mountain in Johan area of Kalat, Quetta, Pakistan. Officials gave this information on Saturday (November 16).
According to Dawn report, Kalat Division Commissioner Naeem Bazai, while giving information about the attacks, said, “Seven soldiers deployed at the check post were killed in this attack, while 18 others were injured.” He said that the injured and dead bodies have been sent to CMH, Quetta.
Security forces killed 6 terrorists
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, there was an encounter between terrorists and security forces who were trying to attack a security post near Shah Mardan on Friday night. In this encounter with security forces, six terrorists were killed, while four others were injured. Seven security personnel were killed, while 18 others were injured.
ISPR said the terrorists used rockets, grenades and automatic heavy weapons before attacking the Shah Mardan check post of the Frontier Corps (FC).
Search operation started
Kalat Deputy Commissioner Bilal Shabbir said security forces have launched a search operation in Johanan and its surrounding areas to trace the terrorists involved in the attack. He said that the dead bodies and injured have been airlifted to CMH in Quetta. The concerned officials are investigating the incident.
Local officials have identified the martyrs as Naik Bakhat Zaman, Lance Naik Ghulam Ishaq, Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, Sep Rizwan, Sep Waqas, Sep Ali Abbas and Sep Saqibur Rehman.
Shahbaz Sharif criticized
Condemning the terrorist attack, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “The elements spreading anarchy and unrest in Balochistan are enemies of the people and the development of the province. Such actions cannot stop the government’s commitment towards the progress and prosperity of Balochistan.”
